Over in Ipoh, Sunway continued to spread its kindness through Raya Cheer with contributions in the form of rice, bubur lambuk, groceries and buka puasa meals to orphanages. The #SunwayforGood Raya Cheer initiative in Perak reached more than 2,950 B40 beneficiaries. Spearheaded by Lost World of Tambun, the team with the presence of Menteri Besar Perak distributed 2,000 packs of bubur lambuk to the community at Dataran Lenggong, Perak, as well as 100 packets of groceries to Kampung Orang Asli Sg Choh.
May 2022 – Eventful month @Sunway XFarms
Green lovers were treated to multiple events and promotions by Sunway XFarms.
The first event was a virtual Zero Waste at Home workshop held for the participants of Sunway Malls on 27 May 2022. Held via Zoom, the workshop was led by speaker Eleanor Choong and trainer Nurlisa Su Sy Ei from Sunway XFarms to educate participants on ways to reduce waste at home as well as to deal with kitchen scraps appropriately.
The second event was a VeggiEasy Learning workshop for Sunway International School students. Held on 31 May 2022 with 2 sessions, more than a hundred students got to engage in a fruity vegetable & microgreen taste testing session and create fun recipes together featuring the vegetables they tasted. Speakers Nicholas and Nikki Ou from Loop Foods also gave students an introduction to plant-based food where they get to try plant-based chicken nuggets.
Students were given a gift bag each to bring home, containing fresh vegetables and vouchers from both Sunway XFarms and Loop Foods.
Last but not least, Sunway XFarms also launched their Special Steamboat Bundle. In collaboration with Sunway Lagoon, the bundle features fresh, yummy and pesticide-free Asian vegetables, juicy red tomatoes, crunchy, spicy chillies from Sunway XFarms, as well as Sunway Lagoon's very own special first draw soy sauce.

May 2022 – More sweet events @ Sunway Property Sales Galleries
It was another sweet month for Sunway Property’s Sales Galleries.
Some of the key events that occurred include “Citarasa Penang” event at Sunway d’hill Property Gallery, “A Taste of Penang” event at Sunway Artessa Property Gallery, “Coffee on us” event at Sunway Belfield Property Gallery and “FREE Dao Desserts” event at Sunway Velocity TWO Sales Gallery.
In collaboration with local F&B brands such as Dao, Penang Chendul and The Mad Alchemy, the events were organised to encourage walk-ins and to create awareness for the new projects.
10 May – SJK (C) Cheah Fah – First Day of School @ Sunway City Iskandar Puteri
To welcome SJK (C) Cheah Fah’s first batch of students, Sunway City Iskandar Puteri has distributed more than 200 packs of Sunway goody bags to parents dropping off their children as a first day of school gesture. The team also distributed snacks and drink boxes to students as a welcome gift.
Attended by Rasedy Baba, Johor Bahru District Preschool and Primary School Education Officer, Gerard Soosay, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Dato’ Ir. Steve Chong Yoon On, SJK (C) Cheah Fah Building Committee Chairman, Madam Chew Lee Peng, SJK (C) Cheah Fah Principal, Teng Mee Kwong, Johor State Education Department Officer and School Building Committee members Mr Ng Chai Teck and Ms Lee Gek Ling, the First Day of School event was inaugurated at Dewan Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffery Cheah AO, SJK (C) Cheah Fah. Mr Gerard Soosay, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway City Iskandar Puteri gave a speech to welcome and encourage the students in their studies. In his speech he said he hopes this facility will be fully utilised to nurture young minds.
About 230 students were welcomed during their first day in SJK (C) Cheah Fah. To date, the school already has more than 240 students with a rise in the student population, daily.

21 May – Sunway Property Pals+ Internal Launch @ Nationwide
To foster the Master Community Developer (MCD) spirit, Sunway Property organised a simple yet energetic Sunway Property Pals+ launch for its employees. Held physically at Sunway Leadership Centre, the launch was also streamed live to its Johor, Penang and Ipoh offices.
Hosted by the MCD Taskforce of Sunway Property, the programme kicked off with an energetic routine performed by the MCD Energizers across the nation followed by a quick briefing on the programme by Chief Brand & Marketing Officer – Gerard Yuen, Assistant General Manager for Research & Analytics – Christine Chong and Senior Manager of Customer Service – Stephanie Lin.

26 May – Sunway Property Pals+ Media Launch @ Sunway Velocity TWO Sales Gallery
Master Community Developer Sunway Property launched Sunway Property Pals+, Malaysia’s first-of-its-kind inclusive community experience for each and every one residing in Sunway Property developments be it owners, sub-sale owners or tenants.
The inclusive Sunway Property Pals+ programme is designed to provide greater convenience and privileges for all residing in Sunway Property developments – comprising of Rent+, Care+ and Reward+.
Speaking at the launch, Sunway Property Chief Brand and Marketing Officer Gerard Yuen said that the programme was developed and designed as part of Sunway Property’s holistic plan to build Future Forward Cities that are sustainable for both the current and future generations.
The existing Sunway Property PALS home owners and new buyers of the current Sunway Property Signature Series 2022 Campaign, which ends on 31 July 2022, will be part of the enhanced Sunway Property Pals+ programme from 1 June 2022. 28 May – Sunway GEOLake Community Day @ Sunway GEOLake Residences Being the Master Community Developer, our communities are always at the core of all our initiatives. To foster the relationship between Sunway Property and the residents of Sunway GEOLake Residences, Sunway Property organised Sunway GEOLake Residences’ first event to provide the owners a platform to meet, mingle around and get to know each other.
The event was filled with games and prizes were also up for grabs. A shopping trolley was also given to each of the residents as a token of appreciation and they were introduced to the new community experience – Sunway Property Pals+.

28 May – Jernih Residence Property Gallery Opening @ Kajang
Master Community Developer Sunway Property and MKH jointly launched the Jernih Residence Property Gallery on 28th May 2022, Saturday.
The launch was officiated by Sunway Property Managing Director Sarena Cheah, Senior Executive Director – Property Development Division (Central Region) Chong Sau Min, and General Manager – Project Management Jean Khor, alongside MKH Property Director Dato’ Chong Yong Han and Deputy Property Director Dato’ Kenneth Chen in a ribbon-cutting ceremony which was followed by an acrobatic lion dance and a joget performance.
During the two-day grand opening, visitors who registered for a unit stood a chance to spin-and-win up to RM 3,000 worth of prizes, enjoy an array of food truck delicacies, and participate in a mini-terrarium workshop while learning more about the development.

28 May – ONELESS Festival @ Sunway Nexis
In conjunction with the World Environment Day, Sunway Property collaborated with “The Olive Tree”, a tenant at Sunway Nexis to organise the ONELESS Festival on 28 & 29 May 2022 at Sunway Nexis. The 11am – 6pm event was a plastic-free event offering shopping, food & beverages, and workshops in a sustainable manner.
With sustainability in mind, visitors were encouraged to bring their own lunch boxes, reusable cups and shopping bags to reduce the amount of waste generated from the festival that featured over 40 brands. The 2-day event was launched by Her Royal Highness Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor, Law Hong Mei (CEO of The Olive Tree), Chee Lee Yoon (Founder of Hara Makers) and Mr Adly Sham (General Manager of Sunway Property) where they unveiled a meaningful art installation from Reimagine Plastic by Hara Makers named “Last Tree In The City” using 5,000 plastic bags collected from the community.
Over the weekend, they have successfully collected 169kg of plastic waste contributed by the visitors to Biji-biji Initiative and Hara Makers. A total of 600kg of e-waste and 29kg of used cooking oils were collected too.
